Tom’s Clocks – The Privilege and Opportunity of Time

http://lifetalk56.podbean.com/mf/web/3k7fjc/TomsClocks-ThePrivilegeandOpportunityofTime.mp3 One thing we tend to do with time is fight it. We see it as the immovable and unstoppable adversary that grants us no reprieve, that is entirely unsympathetic to our causes, and that is relentlessly ticking off time until our time is out. Because of its very nature and character, and because of our perception of time relative to our life we are caught in a perpetually adversarial position that leaves us always running and forever exhausted.

To firmly break free of this perpetual dynamic we need to readjust both our view of time as well as our understanding of life. It is in this radical reorientation that times becomes a measurement that marks out opportunity rather than a rogue enemy that works against us. Time outlines the privilege that we call life so that we can effectively maximize its minutes. And it is this reorientation that this edition outlines.
