Success – Defining it Defines You

We all yearn to be successful. It may be that a feeling of success gives our life a sense of meaning, purpose, value and ultimately direction. Success means that our lives count for something more than simply being carbon-based life forms living out some pathetic existence on our way to the grave.

But to know if we’re successful we have to have some definition that tells us how close or how far we are from being successful. Therefore, a definition becomes terribly critical, so critical that it is vital that we determine exactly what both informs and shapes that definition. Therefore, it would be of immense value to understand our definition of success, understand the forces that shaped that definition, and heartily re-evaluate it so that it’s something we can live for and not be destroyed by.
