Summer – Stars and Meadows

We live in boxes. Tight, well-defined and thick boxes. And in time the whole of our existence becomes defined by the singular boxes that we live in. Because it becomes increasingly difficult to see what’s outside of the boxes within which we live, we lose a sense of what’s outside the box. And in time, we forget that there is anything out there at … [Read more...]

Seasons – The Come and Go of Life

In the come and go of life we’re more apt to embrace what’s coming than to release what’s going. Christmas – The Nature of God

We humanize God.  It’s in our nature to create and craft a god who is more of us and less of anything divine.  We have this terribly odd proclivity to need a god, but to concurrently need that god to be something that we can control.  We want a deity that has enough supernatural qualities to rush into our lives in times of crisis, or handily answer … [Read more...]

Inspirational Quotes

In a relationship with God, it’s far more about the willingness to be ‘found’ and far less about possessing the ability to ‘find.’

When is Counseling Needed?
